Monday Nights Canlan Sports Pickup: 8v8 Tournament Style
Welcome to the Pickup hosted at Canlan Sports in Lake Barrington IL from 10:00 PM - 12:00 AM. We will be playing on their large turf field. This is a fast-paced, high-intensity 8v8 tournament style pickup session played on a premium turf indoor turf field. This event will have a maximum of 9 teams with a maximum of 96 players. Music will be playing throughout the night to keep the vibes going. If you have any playlist recommendations, drop them in the game chat!
This 2-hour session consists of 10-minute games. Games will be played on a 1/3 of a full field with smaller goals than the traditional full size. The field is split by drop down barriers so you never have to chase the ball. Every match counts towards the final table rankings: 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, and 0 points for a loss. At the end of the session, the top two teams will play for 1st place in the final game, the next two for 3rd, the next two for 5th, and the following two for 7th place. The top squad of the night takes home gatorades for each player on their team.
The host will set up the field beforehand, check in players, and distribute pinnies based on the teams that were set up prior to the event. A schedule will be finalized prior to the beginning of the session, which is viewable in your player lobby on your phone. You can track your progress and see upcoming games there. If you have any issues or requests, please feel free to contact us at support@pitchsidecf.com or message us on the in game chat. Host will provide game balls and pinnies.
Please ARRIVE 15 minutes early for check in. We would like to start on time to maximize your game time. DO NOT show up if you don’t have a spot secured. We have prepared the teams ahead of time and no one likes playing on small fields with too many players crammed in. If we catch you sneaking in you will be asked to leave. If you have any questions, feel free to message us through the event chat in the lobby.
Players MUST be 18 years or older to participate and must have a Pitch Side account to sign up for the event. This is an open event for men and women.
There are bathrooms on site. Please make sure to bring your own water. Clean up after yourself. Have respect for the facilities rules which are posted at the entrance.
We will adjust the format based on the amount of players that show up. We will run the event no matter the amount of players that show up, so be prepared to play continuously if the event doesn't fill up. In the event of a cancellations by the facility we will issue refunds in the form of platform credit for a future event sign up.
