Summer Nights at Olympic Park: 8v8 Tournament Style
Welcome to the Pitch Side Summer Nights series hosted at Olympic Park in Schaumburg IL. We will be playing on FIELD 5 of the complex. This is a fast-paced, high-intensity 8v8 tournament style pickup session played under the lights on a premium turf field. This event will have a maximum of 6 teams with a total of 48 players max. Music will be playing throughout the night to keep the vibes going. If you have any playlist recommendations, drop them in the game chat!
This 2-hour session consists of 10-minute games. Games will be played on 1/2 of a full field with smaller goals than the traditional full size. Every match counts towards the final table rankings: 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, and 0 points for a loss. At the end of the session, the top two teams will play for 1st place in the final game, the next two for 3rd, and the final two for 5th. Top squad of the night takes home gatorades and Smak'n Carne Seca for each player on the team.
The host will set up the field beforehand, check in players, and distribute pinnies based on the teams that were set up prior to the event. A schedule will be finalized prior to the beginning of the session, which is viewable in your player lobby on your phone. You can track your progress and see upcoming games there. Please ARRIVE 15 minutes early for check in. We would like to start on time to maximize your game time. DO NOT show up if you don’t have a spot secured. We have prepared the teams ahead of time and no one likes playing on small fields with too many players crammed in. If we catch you sneaking in you will be asked to leave. If you have any questions, feel free to message us through the event chat in the lobby.
Players MUST be 18 years or older to participate and must have a Pitch Side account to sign up for the event. This is an open event for men and women.
There are bathrooms on site. Please make sure to bring your own water. Clean up after yourself. Have respect for the facilities rules which are posted at the entrance.
Games will run rain or shine and we will adjust the format based on the amount of players that show up. We will run the event on matter the amount of players, so be prepared to play continuously if the event doesn't fill up. In the event of weather cancellations by the facility we will issue refunds in the form of platform credit for a future event sign up.

If you need to drop out, please cancel your spot before the designated cutoff window (24 hours before the event). Cancellations made before the cutoff will automatically return the full ticket value to your Pitch Side Wallet in the form of a credit to use on a future game. Late cancellations or no-shows will NOT be refunded.

Our goal for these pickup events is to keep it clean and build a community of ballers who put in the effort but play fair. We have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to fighting, meaning if you swing or get involved in a fight you are subject to a temporary ban of two sessions. Any ban thereafter will be permanent. We are here to have fun, challenge each other to get better, and enjoy the beautiful game we all love.
When it comes to on field conduct, please adhere to the following: Call your own fouls (be fair and realistic), NO SLIDE TACKLING, Be respectful, and most importantly have a good time.
